Conqueroars Atlantic Row 2025
The Story
Three fairly typical women from Pembrokeshire plan on rowing over 3000 miles across the Atlantic Ocean in January 2025.
Their row will consist of a gruelling 40+ days of rowing in a shift pattern of 2 hours on the oars, 2 hours off the oars when they will sleep, eat, complete general maintenance and their ablutions, yep you guessed it, in a bucket!
So, why have they decided to take on this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity?
They hope to raise awareness and money for The Robin Cancer Trust, The MS Society and Wales Air Ambulance, all of which have a personal significance to each of the ladies.
To complete this endeavour, they need to raise enough money to cover the expedition's cost and would like to donate substantial amounts to their chosen charities which are close to their hearts for personal reasons.
"If you are going to complete such an extraordinary challenge, at least try and raise as much money as possible for those charities that are dear to us"
The Event
Funktion 22 has been invited to perform for The Conqueroars Winter Ball.
The event is to be held at The Cliff Hotel, Gwbert, a beautiful hotel overlooking the stunning Cardigan coastline.
Tickets are £50, available here and will include a fantastic 3-course meal, auction and raffle to raise money for the chosen charities, live music (by Funktion 22) and DJ.
